I’M WEARING >> KENZO for H&M (In stores November 3rd.)
Oh La la, this collection is definitely not for the faint-hearted, some love it, some hate it, I say it’s all about who you style it. I had the pleasure to fly to NYC for the Kenzo for H&M show last week and I realised that I have spent more time in New York than anywhere else (apart from home) in the past year, which is definitely amazing.
I have seen and tried on the entire collection and there are some pieces that might be definitely out of my comfort zone, but then again, there are some pieces that challenge my styling skills and that worn the right way, can definitely make a statement. I am going to be honest, the black and orange tiger sweatshirts are my favourite pieces because they are so wearable and fun, but there are some items that if worn separately, can look amazing; like this skirt which is reversible and can easily be worn with your favourite pair of kicks, a white tee and a denim jacket.
Seriously guys, I am used to being stared at for wearing quirky things since I was a child growing up in Mexico, it used to bother me before but it empowers me now, because for me fashion is a way of self expression and if the people don’t like what you are wearing, well that is their problem, not yours.
This collection is definitely for those who want to make a statement, so if you dare, what items are you going for on November 3rd?
